Friday

I've definitely been living life in Paris, so much so that I've neglected this blog. Will try not to let it happen again. It's quite warm in the city these days, in the late 20s (or 70s if you're still using fahrenheit!) for most of the day and night. There's not much of a sea breeze like I'm used to back home (Don't worry mum, I'm wearing Factor 30!). The metro is a like a sweaty box. My line seems to be particularly bad. Last weekend was the Fete de la Musique to celebrate the solstice/first day of summer. There were loads of amateur bands playing in the street all around the city and the metros were running all through the night. People were drinking in the streets but in the Parisian way.... ie: not urinating/vomiting/arguing like it would be back in good old Dublin!

Spotted Mischa Barton (young american actress/model) wandering around Bastille the other day which was fun because I love the odd celeb here and there!

Most afternoons this week have been spent laying in the grass in Place Des Vosges and reading. It's a lovely area of Paris with lots of little creperies, bakeries, cafes.... Found a nice frozen yogurt place nearby which is good because I can justify eating frozen yogurt more than I can eating ice cream!

Sarkozy will be in Ireland soon I believe. He's going to 'sort out' the Lisbon treaty débâcle, so that'll be nice for them!

On Sunday afternoon we're going to the Mosque de Paris. They have a cafe there and also a hamman, which is like a spa. They do treatments like massages and rubs for about €15!! Bargain!
And they have mint tea for €1.52 a cup!

Glad you are back! Enjoy the Mosque, take pictures, if permitted. What about a photo of blue sky and sunshine to remind us what it looks like?

Still obsessed with Sarko, I see,,,,,,

Your obsession with Sarkozy is very enjoyable. You should go to his house and scare him with your weird accent
